The main purpose of this study was to establish the link between stress and emotional intelligence among health professionals in a hospital in Lima during the year 2023. We opted for an applied methodology based on a design where there was no manipulation of the variables, and at the same time it was correlational. The sample included a total of 80 health professionals. According to the findings, H1 was confirmed, with a sig. value (p=0.000) lower than the predetermined level (0.05). Likewise, a positive correlation of moderate intensity was revealed between stress and emotional intelligence, supported by a Spearman coefficient of 0.439, which implies that, as one of these factors increases, the other tends to do so in a similar direction. According to these findings, it was concluded that all these data together highlight the close connection between stress and emotional intelligence in the environment of health professionals, offering a valuable basis for future approaches and strategies that seek to strengthen the mental health and well-being of these individuals. He also emphasized that consideration should be given to the inclusion of training and development programs that address both stress management and the promotion of emotional intelligence in the work environment of health professionals.
