Methodology: quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive correlational research, with a population of 218 mothers identified in the metabolic neonatal screening program, with a simple random sample of 95 mothers, the survey technique will be used for mothers absent from neonatal screening. metabolic, which are corroborated by documentary data through the individual and group sheets of factors of absence of the neonatal screening program, the questionnaire is valid and reliable by the author Aristi (2018) by Kuder de Richardson of 0.965, comprised of 36 items with a dichotomous response of yes and no, dimensioned by 3 factors: sociocultural, knowledge and institutional; After coordination with the Hospital institution, data is collected that will be interpreted by the SPSS version 25 program and using Pearson's correlation, evidence will be interpreted that will be presented in tables.
