    The world needs a sufficient number of nursing professionals to meet the growing demand for patient care, which increases significantly every day. This scenario was recently experienced during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Licensed nurses are subjected to various occupational factors, the most frequent being work overload, a situation that over time becomes a stressor for these professionals, leading to occupational stress, negatively impacting their professional performance, and reducing their dedication to patient care. The current study is titled: "Occupational factors and their relationship with the level of stress in nursing professionals working in the Surgical Center of the National Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, Lima, 2023." Objective: To analyze the relationship between occupational factors and the level of stress in nursing professionals working in the Surgical Center of the National Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, Lima, 2023. Materials and Methods: Quantitative approach, descriptive-correlational design. The population and sample consisted of 36 professional nurses. Data collection was carried out using surveys and questionnaires.
