Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search was restricted to full-text articles, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading. The Grade system was used for the level of evidence and strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, (20%) with two articles from India, one article (10%) each from Peru, Colombia, the Philippines, Sudan, Africa, Iran, China, and Mexico. Systematic reviews from Iran, India, and Africa were studied, followed by case-control studies from Colombia, the Philippines, Peru, and Sudan; cohort studies from Mexico and China; and a quasi-experimental study from India. All articles analyzed (100%) demonstrated an adequate level of evidence on the importance of family support in adherence to tuberculosis treatment.
