    Effectiveness of nursing interventions for the prevention of pressure ulcers in the ICU

    Material and Method: The systematic exploration of the 9 scientific articles that deal with the evidence on the effectiveness of nursing interventions to prevent pressure ulcers in the ICU, were in the subsequent databases Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed , these were examined according to the Grade scale to establish their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 09 articles reviewed, 100% agree that pressure ulcers are preventable and that nursing providing comprehensive care can control them. Conclusions: According to this review, it can be said that nursing plays an essential role in care to prevent and control pressure injuries and its interventions must be directed towards the specific needs of each patient.
