    Lean Healthcare y tiempo de espera en pacientes de emergencia de un Hospital Nacional, Perú-2023

    Objective: Determine to what extent the Lean Healthcare proposal reduces the waiting time for emergency patients at a national hospital. Material and Methods: The type of study is descriptive, correlational, pre-experimental design, longitudinal section, explanatory level or scope. The population was 480 medical and nursing professionals with a sample of 215 professionals who work in the emergency service of the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, Peru 2023. The sampling was stratified random and a questionnaire was used to measure the waiting time and Lean Healthcare. Results: This research resulted in 54.9% of the respondents being male. 50.2% were nursing professionals and 49.8% were medical professionals. A 11.2% lack of knowledge of Lean Healthcare was obtained prior to application of the proposal, 46.5% of knowledge of the waiting time prior to application of the proposal; and after application of the proposal, 80% knowledge of Lean Healthcare and waiting time was obtained. Conclusions: This research work allowed us to conclude that the specific hypotheses are statistically significant, resulting in the Chi-square Test < 0.001 (𝜌=0.005) for the relationship between Lean Healthcare and waiting time in the emergency service; for the pre-application relationship of the Lean Healthcare proposal and the waiting time in the emergency service, resulting in the Chi-square Test < 0.001 (𝜌=0.005) and for the relationship between postapplication of the Lean Healthcare proposal and the Waiting time in the emergency service of (𝜌=0.05).
