Objective of the study is: To determine the level of stress and its relationship with the work performance of the nursing staff of the Surgical Center. Material and Method: The study has a quantitative approach, non-experimental and correlational design. The population and sample will consist of 85 nursing professionals from the Surgical Center. The data collection technique will be the survey and 2 questionnaires will be used as an instrument that will measure the variables under study, the first variable stress level will be measured through 26 questions in four dimensions: physiological, emotional, cognitive and behavioral reactions, in the case of work performance it will be measured through 31 questions in four dimensions: quality of work, responsibility, teamwork and institutional commitment. The results will be presented through the system using Microsoft Excel 2013 and SPSS version 25.0 statistical software. through charts and graphs.
