    Factores relacionados a la falta de adherencia terapéutica en el adulto mayor con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en el Policlínico Central de Prevención Larco–Miraflores 2023

    The study followed a non-experimental design, with a descriptive-correlational level, analytical in nature, a quantitative approach, and cross-sectional, basic, and bivariate type. The sample consisted of 80 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who voluntarily responded to two questionnaires containing a total of 40 Likert-scale questions. Data collection techniques included surveys and questionnaires as instruments. Results: The findings generally show low levels of non-adherence to therapy associated with related factors (15.4%); a lower percentage was observed in relation to socioeconomic factors (12.2%) and the healthcare provider factor (12.9%). Disease-related factors (13.6%) and treatment-related factors (15.8%) showed better correlational levels. Conclusion: In the evaluation of elderly patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, there is a low significant correlation between related factors and non-adherence to therapy. The treatment-related factor was the most influential in non-adherence to therapy.
