Publicación Acceso abierto Sospechas de reacciones adversas de antihipertensivos en usuarios de la botica Avi Pharma SAC, La Victoria – Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-25) Cajo Zamora, Carlos Alfredo; Yovera Chávez, Ronald Javier; Collantes Llacza, Adela MarleneSpontaneous reporting is one of the most widely used methods to evaluate information on the safety profile of medicines in relation to the characteristics of their consumers. The objective of this study was to establish the incidence of suspected adverse reactions in users of antihypertensive pharmaceutical products, applying an observational, prospective, analytical, cross-sectional study method. Sociodemographic characteristics were obtained from a sample of 90 consumers in a pharmaceutical establishment, with an average age of 38.9 years, an average weight of 65.3 kg, and predominantly male participants (67.78%). Medication use was mainly based on pharmaceutical recommendation (82.22%), followed by medical prescription (13.33%) and self-medication (4.45%). The most demanded antihypertensives were Captopril 25 mg tablets, Enalapril 10 mg tablets, and Losartan 50 mg capsules. Among concomitant medications, paracetamol, azithromycin, cetirizine, atorvastatin, and acetylcysteine were noted, while hypercholesterolemia (5.6%) stood out among concurrent conditions. An incidence of suspected adverse reactions of 12.0% was identified in 25 consumers of Enalapril and 6.0% in 50 consumers of Captopril, corresponding to expected reactions described in the technical data sheets of the pharmaceutical products.
