Materials and Methods: Non-experimental, quantitative, cross sectional, correlational and retrospective study; with a population of 415 medical records of workers aged 27 and over, the sample consisted of 338 medical records and selected by probability sampling by strata, with a confidence level of 98% and a margin of error of 3%. Physiological factors: body fat percentages (p = 0.000), muscle mass (p = 0.001) and visceral fat (p = 0.000) indicated a statistically significant relationship with SP and OB. Regarding institutional factors: work area, type of contract and work shift were not related to SP and OB (p > 0.05). Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between sociodemographic and physiological factors and SP and OB in workers at a hospital in Yurimaguas.
