Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the laparoscopic colecistectomy of a single incision against the laparoscopic colecistectomy of other ports in the aesthetics and recovery of the adult patient with colecistitis(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-17) Calixto Ichu, Sheylash Melissa; Calsin Pacompia, WilmerObjective: To analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy compared to multi-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy in terms of aesthetics and recovery in adult patients with cholecystitis. Materials and methods: This is a quantitative study with a systematic review design. The population consisted of 18 articles, and a sample of 10 scientific articles was selected. The search was conducted in the following databases: Cochrane Library, Scielo, British Medical Journal, PubMed, Epistemonikos, Lilacs, and EBSCO. The GRADE system was used to evaluate the quality of evidence and the strength of the recommendations of the articles. Results: A review of the 10 articles showed that single-incision laparoscopic surgery was more effective, as patients who underwent this intervention experienced less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stays, quicker return to daily activities, and more favorable aesthetic outcomes compared to multi-port laparoscopic surgery. Conclusions: It was concluded that 30% of the studies showed that single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy is effective, 40% indicated that both procedures are effective, while 30% concluded that single-incision laparoscopic surgery is not effective due to complications such as wound infection, incisional hernia, and prolonged operative time.
