Publicación Acceso abierto Diseño y formulación de una línea dermocosmética a base del aceite de Sacha Inchi “Plukenetia volubilis Linneo” para su aplicación antioxidante para el cuidado del cabello y la piel(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-08-28) Camacho Caycho, Fanny Isabel; Chamorro Contreras, Ruby Evelyn; Cano Pérez, Carlos AlfredoPeru is a megadiverse country due to its vast and rich variety of fauna and flora, among which medicinal plants stand out. The latter have been increasingly utilized by the cosmetic industry, giving rise to so-called ecological cosmetics, produced from plants with healing properties such as sacha inchi and uña de gato, among others. The objective of the present study was to design and formulate a dermocosmetic line based on the oil of Plukenetia volubilis L. for application in skin and hair care, given its antioxidant capacity. The dermocosmetic line included shampoo, body cream, and sunscreen, which were developed under safe conditions, resulting in products that remained stable over time. Stability was demonstrated through quality control assessments involving organoleptic, physicochemical, and microbiological analyses. Antioxidant activity was determined using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method, showing that the shampoo had an IC50 of 3.777 mg/mL and a TEAC of 14.909/g, the body cream had an IC50 of 1.420 mg/mL and a TEAC of 16.770/g, and the sunscreen had an IC50 of 1.120 mg/mL and a TEAC of 29.868/g. It is concluded that the dermocosmetic line developed at pilot scale with Plukenetia volubilis L. oil meets the required characteristics.
