Ítem Acceso abierto Complementary feeding practices and iron deficiency anemia in children from 6 to 36 months at the Sir Miracles Health Post, Villa El Salvador, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-01-29) Campos Paipay, Katherini Elena; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe present investigation had as a general objective; To determine the relationship between complementary feeding practices and iron deficiency anemia in children from 6 to 36 months at the Senior de las Milagros Health Post in the Villa del Salvador district, Lima-Peru 2022. The research method corresponds to a method deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, correlational. The population of children who spend in the CRED service, monthly is 175 children from 6 to 36 months. The sample calculation was used and its result is 121 children from 6 to 36 months. The technique that will be applied is the survey, and at the same time the documentary file will be used to extract the results of the hemoglobin. Finally, to measure the practical variable of complementary feeding, it will be a questionnaire consisting of 13 items, divided into 2 dimensions such as: types of food consumed, made up of 6 questions, and frequency of food consumption, made up of 7 questions. The final value of the variable is unhealthy practices from 0 to 19 points and healthy practices from 20 to 39 points. For the second variable, which is iron deficiency anemia, the technique used is the collection of hemoglobin data, it will be obtained from the clinical history. In this way, the assessment scale can be established. This instrument was created in 2016 by the researchers: Álvarez Quiñones, Huamani Mendoza, Montoya Jiménez, Clara Trinidad, from the Cayetano Heredia University, and validated by expert judgment. Its reliability is 0.81 by Cron Bach alpha, which makes this instrument reliable for the application.
