Effectiveness of hemodialysis compared to kidney transplantation in improving quality of life in patients with chronic renal failure

Objective: The objective of this study is to systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of hemodialysis compared to kidney transplant to improve the quality of life in patients with chronic kidney failure. Materials and Methods: systematic review, controlled clinical trials, analytical cross-sectional study, the search has been restricted to articles with full text and selected articles underwent critical reading, using the evaluation to identify their level of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 40% (04) have Systematic Reviews in the countries of the USA, Spain, Canada and the United Kingdom, 30% (04) are controlled clinical trials corresponding to Poland 2 and France. 20% (01) are Cross-analytical studies found in Spain and Colombia, and 10% (01) are Quantitative Correlational studies. Thus having 100% (10 articles) where kidney transplant is recommended as the best option to provide quality of life for patients with chronic kidney failure. Conclusions: It was evident in the research reviewed according to the authors that kidney transplantation has better effectiveness compared to hemodialysis treatment since patients have a better quality of life during transplant treatment and provides better benefits in psychological, family, and social aspects. , increasing self-esteem and improving your daily life.
