Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of life and coping of patients with chronic kidney disease on peritoneal dialysis at Hospital Ramiro Priola de EsSalud Huancayo, Peru 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-12) Cano Uruy, Genoveva Herna; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: quality of life and coping styles are phenomena widely studied in Latin America and are considered important variables, especially in patients who adapt to high stress events such as chronic diseases, among them, chronic kidney disease (CKD). Objective: to determine how quality of life is related to the ability to cope with stress in patients with chronic kidney disease on peritoneal dialysis at the Hospital Ramiro Priole of EsSalud Huancayo, Peru 2022. Materials and methods: quantitative, non-experimental, applied, cross-sectional, correlational research using the hypothetical-deductive method to explore and describe the study phenomena by means of a survey in a census sample of 69 patients with chronic kidney disease on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis in the Nephrology service, dialysis area, of the Hospital Ramiro Priale of EsSalud, from October to December 2022. For this purpose, adapted, validated and reliable instruments will be used, such as the Quality-of-Life Questionnaire (KDQOL-SF36 v1.3) for patients with chronic kidney disease and the Stress Coping Questionnaire (CAE) of Sandín & Chorot. Descriptive and inferential statistics such as Spearman's correlation coefficient to measure the relationship and hypothesis testing will be used for data analysis.
