The present study is of a correlational type because it aims to verify the relationship between the quality of life and the body image of mastectomized patients without modifying the reality presented by the participants. The population of the present investigation was 50 mastectomized patients and the sample is equal to the population, that is, it is a universal sample. The technique used was the survey and documentary analysis and as instruments, the quality of life identification test in mastectomized patients because it is an instrument already developed by the National Mental Health Directorate. Regarding the reliability of the quality of life variable, it has Cron Bach's Alpha. 0.735 (α > 0.6), which is why it is argued that the instrument is reliable. The same occurs with the instrument that measures body image, where the reliability of the instrument was determined based on the Cronbach alpha statistic. The result of the test was 0.802 (α > 0.6), which confirms the hypothesis of general reliability of the instrument.
