Type and Level: Quantitative, non-experimental nature, with a cross-sectional relational design. Population: Composed of 122 students enrolled in the 3rd and 4th academic cycles of the Nursing Academic Program at the Universidad Norbert Wiener during the 2013 I academic year. Results: 82.8% of nursing students have average academic performance, while the remaining 17.2% have high academic performance; 15.8% with average performance show a low reaction to academic stress, 57.4% show a moderate reaction to academic stress, and 26.7% show a high reaction. Conclusions: There is a highly significant relationship between academic performance and academic stress reactions among the 3rd and 4th cycle students of the Nursing Academic Program at Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener (p=0.000).
