Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge about immunizations and the attitude of the mother of a child under 5 years old who attends a health center in Santa Clara - Ate, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-26) Carhuas Lopez, Karina Yaneth; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: The purpose of the study was to assess the knowledge about immunizations and its relationship with the attitude of the mother of the child under 5 years of age who attends a Health Center in Santa Clara-Ate, 2023. Materials and methods: It is a correlational investigation. The sample was made up of 240 mothers who come with their children under 5 years of age. The survey was applied as a technique and two instruments were applied to measure the central variables involved. Results: In the research hypothesis, a significant relationship was found between knowledge about immunizations and mother's attitude (p<0.05). Regarding the specific hypotheses, a significant relationship was found between knowledge about immunizations in its concept dimension and mother's attitude (p<0.05), also between knowledge about immunizations in its importance dimension and mother's attitude (p<0.05), also between knowledge about immunizations in its importance dimension and mother's attitude (p<0.05) and finally between knowledge about immunizations in its calendar dimension and mother's attitude (p<0.05). In knowledge about immunizations, the average value (58.1%) prevailed, followed by high (23.6%) and basic (18.2%). Finally, in attitudes about immunizations, the neutral value prevailed (52.7%) followed by positive (36.5%) and negative (10.8%). Conclusions: According to the general hypothesis, a significant relationship was found between the main constructs.
