Anemia is evident at the Virgen del Rosario School in the Yoshiyama Human Settlement (A.H.) in Pachacútec, as this anomaly is notable due to the conditions in rural areas, which are related to the residents' dietary culture and the economic factor that causes anemia in infants. Objective: To correlate the plasma level of Iron with Hemoglobin and Hematocrit in school-age children at the Virgen del Rosario Educational Center in Pachacútec, from August to November 2018. Methods: This was an observational, cross-sectional, and correlational study. The local population was 398 children, with a statistically determined sample of 93 children aged 12 years or younger. The parameters for plasma Iron, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit levels were determined using the Ferrozine, Cyanmethemoglobin, and Microhematocrit methods, respectively. Results: The percentage of school-age children with decreased plasma Iron levels was 27%, with 73% having normal values. The percentage with decreased Hemoglobin levels was 26%, and elevated was 27%. The percentage with decreased Hematocrit levels was 26%, and elevated was 13%. Conclusion: The plasma level of Iron does not decrease concurrently with Hemoglobin and Hematocrit in school-age children at the Virgen del Rosario Educational Center in Pachacútec, from August to November 2018.
