Objective: To determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and job performance of staff nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a National Hospital in Callao, 2024. Methods: This study is of a practical nature and aims to address a specific problem. It is based on quantitative and correlational approaches and will be conducted at a single point in time (crosssectional). The sample will be composed of all 52 nurses available in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Callao. A survey consisting of two Likertscale questionnaires, which have been adapted for the target population, will be used. These questionnaires have been validated and have been shown to be reliable in measuring the specific variables under investigation. Once the data has been collected through the survey, SPSS 27 statistical software will be used to process and analyse the data. To test the hypotheses put forward in the study, the statistical test known as Spearman's correlation will be used.
