Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice of percutaneous catheter management by neonatal intensive care nurses in a national hospital, Lima-2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-23) Carrión Alave, Yesica Gregoria; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioA high level of knowledge among nursing professionals translates into appropriate practices in the management of percutaneous catheters in Neonatal Intensive Care, which in turn reduces complications and mortality rates in neonates. Given this importance, the main objective of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice in the management of percutaneous catheters by Neonatal Intensive Care nurses in a national hospital in Lima in 2024. Regarding the methodology, the study will follow the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, applied type, and a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and associative design. A census sample of 89 nurses will be used. The data collection technique will involve surveys, utilizing two questionnaires. Subsequently, the Spearman correlation coefficient will be employed to establish the relationship between the two variables.
