Biosecurity must be understood as a behavioral doctrine in order to achieve responsible attitudes and behaviors that aim to reduce the level of risk of health workers in the face of various agents. Knowledge is the set of ideas and concepts that a person acquires through experience and in a rational way. In Peru, the level of knowledge of nursing staff about biosecurity measures and their practice is currently completely unknown. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of biosecurity measures in nursing staff in the emergency service of the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, Lima - 2021 Methodology: A quantitative research study will be carried out, with a descriptive correlational cross-sectional design. The sample of nursing professionals will be 56, the type of sampling used will be simple random probabilistic. The technique that will be used to measure the study variables will be the questionnaire and observation. The questionnaire guide will be self-administered where its dimensions are; basic aspects of biosecurity, protection barriers and waste disposal; the checklist has as dimensions; hand washing, protection barrier and management of disposal of biocontaminated material and waste that will be applied by the researcher. The data obtained will be tabulated and statistically processed, applying the statistical package SPSS 22, and Excel.
