    This research work is descriptive; It will be carried out with the purpose of determining the level of knowledge of the nurse in airway care for the adult patient with an orotracheal tube in the emergency area of ​​a Level II hospital in Lima, 2020. The sample will consist of a total of 60 nurses. being 100% of the population of the universe to whom a questionnaire (instrument) will be applied to measure the level of knowledge. divided into 5 dimensions; level of knowledge according to dimension fixation of the orotracheal tube, level of knowledge according to dimension care of the cuff, level of knowledge according to dimension management of secretions, level of knowledge according to dimension care of the oral cavity, level of knowledge according to dimension care of all mobilization They will be processed through the statistical package of Excel and SPSS version 26, after preparing code tables and the data matrix table assigned to the proportions of incorrect alternative (0) and correct alternative (1). the results being 3 levels; high level 15 – 21), medium level (8 – 14) and low level (0 – 7). The results found indicate an acceptable reliability according to Cronbach's alpha greater than 0.7 in the result according to the instrument.
