    Risk factors associated with diabetic foot in patients attending the endocrinology office of a hospital in Chimbote, year 2022

    The present study aims to determine the risk factors associated with diabetic foot in patients with diabetes mellitus who attend the endocrinology clinic of a hospital in Chimbote, year 2022. An applied, non-experimental, correlational, retrospective and cross-sectional design research will be carried out. The sample will include 108 patients with diabetes mellitus who attended the endocrinology clinic. The data collection instrument is a form of integral assessment of diabetic foot, modified by the author, which measures the risk factors associated with diabetic foot. The independent variable Risk factors comprises two dimensions: non-modifiable risk factors and modifiable risk factors and has a reliability of 0.80. The dependent variable Diabetic foot comprises three dimensions: objective foot examination, peripheral vascular disease and sensory examination of the foot and has a reliability of 0.81. Both variables were analyzed with the Kuder Richardson indicator. The data analysis will be carried out through the SPSS version 22 program, where a database will be developed and descriptive analysis will be carried out in statistical tables and graphs and inferential analysis in correlation tests for the verification of hypotheses.
