Ítem Acceso abierto Enterobacteria most commonly found on smart phone (TI) of the staff of a clinic in San Juan de Miraflores Peru period september, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-26) Castro Ccoscco, Maria Luisa; Cabello Vílchez, Alfonso MartinSmartphones are devices with continuous handling, showing a high percentage of contamination on the surfaces of these devices, reflecting a public health problem. They are capable of adhering to and surviving on inert surfaces, transferring pathogens to patients via hands. The objective of the study was to describe the species of Enterobacteria most commonly found on smartphones (SS) of the staff of a clinic. It was observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective. The representative samples were 36 touchscreen smartphones along with informed consent and selection criteria. For the bacteriological analysis, the Stuart transport medium was used, which preserves the sample until reaching the laboratory. Swabs were taken from the edges and back of the smartphones, followed by microbiological culture to describe bacterial growth on culture media and identify the species using biochemical tests, concluding with the antibiogram. Results were presented in tables using Microsoft Excel. Enterobacteria were found, with Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae being the predominant species.
