Ítem Acceso abierto Neurorehabilitation program in the risk of falls in patients with hemiplegia at the Daniel Alcides Carrion Hospital. Huancayo, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-05) Castro Porras, Mariela; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioHemiplegia is a neurological disorder characterized by the sudden or gradual loss of motor control on one side of the body, passing through two stages: flaccid hemiplegia, where tone is diminished and reflexes are inhibited, and spastic hemiplegia, where tone progressively increases, causing an extensor posture in the lower limb. Patients tend to adopt modified movements due to the fear of falling, balance deficits, and coordination issues. Functional recovery will depend on various factors. The neurorehabilitation program aims to help patients improve their movement without the fear of falling, losing balance, or coordination, and will be assessed using the Tinetti Scale at the start and end of treatment to achieve functional independence.
