    Older adult patients admitted to the internal medicine hospitalization area from (ICU, UCIN, emergency, and outpatient) are treated for the multiple pathologies leading to hospitalization in older adults. During their hospital stay, they will present decreased functionality in ADLs and reduced muscle strength caused by prolonged hospitalization. Prolonged bed rest worsens the situation, leading to sarcopenia due to immobility in elderly patients subjected to extended periods of immobility. However, in our country, there is scarce evidence regarding the functional level of patients in this internal medicine area.
