Ítem Acceso abierto Stress and quality of work life of the nursing staff at the Vitarte Hospital, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-23) Ccollana Medrano, Georgina Esther; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThis research aimed to establish whether the variables stress and quality of life have some degree of relationship. Methodologically, the type of inquiry has been basic, its design was non-experimental, correlational level, transectional cohort with a sample of 94 nurses. To measure work stress, the Nursing Stress Scale devised by Gray-Toft and Anderson was used, for quality of work life, the CVT-Gohisalo Questionnaire. The inferential analysis showed that stress and quality of work life have a significant relationship (p= .002<0.05), negative and slight (rho= -.315). A similar trend occurred between the relationship between the physical environment and the quality of work life (rho= -.294) and the social environment and the quality of work life (rho= -.372). There is no relationship between the psychological environment and the quality of work life, since p>0.05. It was concluded that greater perceived stress corresponds to a lower quality of work life and vice versa. Therefore, Ha is accepted and H0 is refuted.
