MATERIAL AND METHOD: The present study will be carried out quantitative approach, non-experimental if correlational, cross-sectional and hypothetical – Deductive design. The population will be made up of 80 Nursing professionals from the ICU service of the Lima hospital who will work with all the staff; in the same way with patients who have presented any adverse event. The previously validated instruments are questionnaire-type forms. The instrument that will be used is known as the “Questionnaire on Basic Domains on Mechanical Ventilation”. This instrument is comprised of 3 dimensions: Direct care of the adult patient 13 items, Equipment management 6 items, Complications during the use of the ventilator 1 items, indicators respectively finally obtaining 20 items. Whose final value of the knowledge level variable is: Very low, low, Regular, High. While the second instrument that will be used to measure the presence of adverse events is known as the “Adverse Events Form.” Such instrument will be composed of 30 Items. Where the final value will be if it presents EA (1) it does not present EA (0).Ítem Acceso abierto Perception of the professional nursing staff on the leadership style of the coordinating nurses at the III Emergencies Grau hospital, Lima - 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-05-11) Ccota Estaña, Mónica Marlene; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To determine the perception of professional nursing staff about the leadership style of the coordinating nurses at Hospital III Emergencias Grau, Lima - 2019. Material and method: The study design is non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional. A sample of 85 workers was evaluated, calculated from the total number of nurses at the Hospital, who were given the short MLQ form 5X questionnaire consisting of 65 items, aimed at assessing the perception of the types of leadership of the coordinators of the different services in the Hospital. Results: Regarding the perception of leadership in the service coordinators, it was found that 80% of the nurses rated it as regular, followed by 12.9% as good and 7.1% as bad. According to the total score of the MLQ 5X, a higher value was found for transactional leadership (1.19 ± 0.56), followed by transformational (1.10 ± 0.56) and corrective (1.10 ± 0.36). Conclusions: The predominant perception of the nursing staff about the leadership style in the coordinators was regular, followed by good and bad; the leadership style that obtained the best score was transactional leadership.
