Publicación Acceso abierto Evaluación de la irritabilidad ocular in vitro mediante el método HET-CAM en cremas para contorno de ojos con y sin registro sanitario que se comercializan en el distrito de La Victoria, La Parada – Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-06-04) Celestino Ramirez, Fiorela Victoria; Llacsa Quispe, Luz Marina; Lizano Gutiérrez, Jesús VíctorThis research provides scientific data on the qualitative HET-CAM and quantitative HET-CAM (CAM-TBS) methods for evaluating eye contour cosmetic creams with and without sanitary registration. The objective is to compare the level of irritability of eye contour creams with and without sanitary registration from different brands. A total of 30 creams with sanitary registration and 30 creams without sanitary registration were analyzed. These creams were acquired in the La Victoria district (Parada), due to demand from beauty and personal hygiene product distributors. The analyses were performed in the laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at Norbert Wiener University (UNW). Methodology is based on Protocol No. 108 of the in vitro techniques in Toxicology (INVITTOX), which consists of studying the reaction of assay variants on the chorioallantoic membrane of the hen's egg for the evaluation of ocular irritation. Results: The potential irritation results for ten eye contour cream formulations indicate that creams without sanitary registration are highly irritating to the eyes, posing an 80% risk for the people who use them, while creams with sanitary registration have low irritability and represent a 10% risk.
