    Thrombocytopenia is defined as a reduction in the number of circulating platelets in the blood, leading to a platelet count of less than 150,000/μl. This condition can result in potentially severe hemorrhagic complications. Therefore, there is a clear need for extensive research analyzing the relationship between immature platelet fraction and thrombocytopenia in patients with sepsis treated at the San José Hospital in Callao. The purpose of this study is to identify possible correlations, establish patterns, and provide a more comprehensive approach for managing and treating patients with thrombocytopenia caused by sepsis in this hospital setting.
