Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout syndrome and job satisfaction in nurses in the emergency area, in a hospital in Lima level III-1, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-16) Champi Curo, Erika; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleIntroduction: Nurses in the emergency area are more likely to suffer from burnout syndrome, which affects their emotional health and is developed by extreme situations in their profession such as: critical care, personal factors, workload and work environment. Therefore, it is crucial to know the level of stress that nurses experience regarding their work, since it will affect their job satisfaction later on, bringing negative personal, professional and institutional consequences. Objective: To determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and job satisfaction in nurses in the emergency area of a Level III-1 Hospital in Lima. Methods: The study will be applied, non-experimental and correlational design. The population will be made up of 114 nurses, the sample size consisting of 88 nurses working in the emergency area. Two questionnaires will be applied to the sample: the Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire to measure the level of burnout syndrome, whose reliability is good with 0.86. And the Red Font questionnaire to measure the level of job satisfaction with good reliability of 0.80. After that, statistical tests will be used to contrast the hypotheses under study.
