Materials and methods: The type of research is basic, descriptive level, quantitative approach , non-experimental cross-sectional design. The non-probabilistic convenience sample consisted of 60 mothers of children from 6 to 36 months. The survey was used as a technique and a validated instrument as a questionnaire to determine the relevant influencing circumstances. Results: Of the total number of mothers surveyed, we can mention that the circumstances that most influence supplementation is the importance of monitoring supplement consumption with 73.3%; followed by 70% adequate distribution of the supplement; Likewise, 90% indicate that monitoring of the supplementation process is very scarce; 45% do not have positive comments about the supplement; and 21.7% present a level of recognition of the signs and symptoms of the disease. Conclusions: Of all the circumstances that were taken into account, the majority influence mothers to obtain good adherence to supplementation; Likewise, the circumstance related to the person supplying has more influence.
