Ítem Acceso abierto Complementary feeding practices and their relationship with the prevalence of anemia in children from 06 to 36 months in the Health Center of the district of Lucanas - Ayacucho 2022.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-06-03) Chonta Sosaya, Thalia; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: To determine the relationship between complementary feeding practices and the prevalence of anemia in children aged 06 to 36 months at the health center in the district of Lucanas - Ayacucho, 2022. Materials and methods: The research had a quantitative focus, applied type, hypothetical-deductive method, non-experimental design, with a correlational level and cross-sectional cut. The sample consisted of 80 mothers with children aged 06 to 36 months who were users of the health center. The technique used for data collection was the survey, and to measure complementary feeding practices, a standardized instrument was used, while for the variable prevalence of anemia, documented information from clinical records was used. Results: 32.5% of the surveyed mothers presented poor complementary feeding practices, and 67.5% had good complementary feeding practices. Additionally, 51.25% of the children did not have anemia, 27.5% had mild anemia, 15% had moderate anemia, and 6.25% had severe anemia. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between complementary feeding practices and the prevalence of anemia in children aged 06 to 36 months at the health center in the district of Lucanas - Ayacucho, 2022.
