    Knowledge about self-care and quality of life in women with breast cancer under treatment with chemotherapy at the Augusto Hernandez Mendoza Hospital, Ica 2022

    Objective: To determine how knowledge about self-care is related to the quality of life in women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Material and Method: The research follows the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach. It is applied, descriptive, and uses a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design. The study population consists of 80 breast cancer patients undergoing monthly outpatient chemotherapy treatment at the Augusto Hernández Mendoza Hospital, Ica, in 2022. As the analytical population, the survey technique was applied, and the instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire. The questionnaire includes sections for presentation, instructions, sociodemographic characteristics, and the “WHOQOL-BREF” tool designed by the World Health Organization to measure the quality of life in women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy.
