Ítem Acceso abierto Exhaustion syndrome and its relationship with work performance in nursing professionals of the intensive care unit, Metropolitan Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-24) Choquehuanca Condori, Lizbeth; Camarena Chamaya, Luis MiguelIntroduction: One of the effects caused by occupational health problems among nursing professionals is the high levels of emotional disorders such as professional burnout syndrome, the causes have been attributed to high workloads, excessively long hours, little recognition and the constant fear of getting infected that has caused repercussions on work performance such as low productivity. Objective: To determine the relationship between the burnout syndrome and the work performance of nursing professionals in the ICU of Metropolitan Lima, 2023. Methods: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional research. The population will be made up of 80 nurses (os) who work in the Intensive Care Unit of Metropolitan Lima. To collect the data, 2 tools validated in previous studies will be used: Professional burnout syndrome and the job performance questionnaire. The technique to be used will be the survey to measure the impact of professional burnout syndrome on job performance. The statistical analysis calculations will be carried out using the statistical package SPSS version 26. To contrast the correlation results, the Chi-square statistical parameter will be used.
