    Potencial actividad antiinflamatoria de la crema a partir de las lactonas sesquiterpénicas aisladas de las testas de Persea americana Mill "Palta Fuerte" sobre ratones albinos

    This research evaluated the anti-inflammatory activity of sesquiterpene lactones isolated from the polar fraction of the chloroform extract of Persea americana Mill “Palta fuerte” seeds. For the study, creams were prepared based on the polar fraction of the chloroform extract containing sesquiterpene lactones at different concentrations (1%, 5%, 10%, 20%), reducing inflammation caused by xylene and improving vascular permeability. The results obtained from the xylene-induced inflammation model indicated that creams at 1%, 5%, 10%, and 20% based on the polar fraction of the chloroform extract prevented inflammation of the auricular pavilion (right ear) by 44.94%, 60.20%, 61.04%, and 67.56%, respectively. The anti-inflammatory drugs (Diclofenac 1% gel and Hydrocortisone 1% ointment) induced inflammation inhibition of 64.34% and 81.75%, respectively. These results demonstrate the anti-inflammatory activity of Persea americana Mill “Palta fuerte” seeds.
