The main objective of this research was "Identify the relationship between self-management of learning and motivation towards achievement in university students from a private university in Lima, 2022", with a quantitative approach; Nonexperimental design and correlational descriptive level with a hypothetical deductive method, to continue with the study it was necessary to use a sample where 164 initial and primary education students participated; the technique that was used was the survey and the instruments were validated, however they were subjected to construct validity; Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability of both variables. Likewise, the SPSS version 25 statistic was used, and for the inferential analysis the chi-square, where it was confirmed that there is a positive relationship between self-management of learning and motivation towards achievement, with a value of p<0.001 and a significance level of 0.05 and confidence of 95%; likewise, in the analysis of the specific hypotheses it was shown that there is a positive relationship between the six established dimensions of the study where (p<0.05). Since, when students manage their own learning, it allows them to establish motivating strategies for the achievement of their academic goals.
