Although it is true that Nursing plays a fundamental role in the application of the kangaroo mother method; however, despite the demonstrated benefits, barriers that may influence their professional work are documented, which is why it was decided to carry out this research work. Material and Method: It is an application type study, with a quantitative, correlational approach, non-experimental desing and cross-section. The total population included 80 nurses professionals from the unit under study. Two instruments were used: a questionnaire and a checklist.
