This research proposes as a general objective, to determine the impact of technological tools in the development of the professional competences of students in promotion courses of the Postgraduate School of Police, in addition to determine the fulfillment of the learning objectives in the programs of virtual training making use of ICT in the promotion courses of the Police Officers. Methodologically the research is Qualitative and is developed from a descriptive - explanatory approach with quasi-experimental design, which will be developed in two phases: the first will be carried out through instruments such as the survey of the staff of officers, uniformed and contract teachers . In the second phase of the research will be located an institution of higher education with a career in the virtual field. Under this circumstance, it is estimated as the average number of the population: 200 individuals and, therefore, 60 samples. It is intended to obtain as a result the educational improvement where all the personnel of the Miguel Antonio Lleras Pizarro School are involved, as well as the breaking of educational paradigms, taking into account the academic currentity.
