Ítem Acceso abierto Anxiety and social skills in patients of the psychology clinic at Huánuco Hospital, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-07) Condezo Meza, María Elena; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe purpose of this research is: “to determine the influence of anxiety on the social skills of patients who attend the Hospital, Huánuco, 2023”, for this purpose a quantitative and correlational approach will be used as a methodology, in a population of 80 young patients. of both sexes from 15 to 30 years of age who attend the Huanuco Hospital. The sample will be the same as the population, so non-probabilistic sampling will not be used. The instruments to be used will be the “Social Anxiety Questionnaire for Adults” (CASO) and the “Social Skills Scale” (EHS). The results showed a significant negative correlation between anxiety and social skills (r= -.893; p= .001), likewise social skills had the same significant negative trends with the dimensions of anxiety: public speaking (r= - .750; p= .001); interaction with the opposite sex (r= -.734; p= .001); assertive expression (r= -.659; p= .001); becoming evident (r= -.546; p= .001), interaction with strangers (r= -.814; p= .001). Concluding that anxiety negatively affects social skills in patients.
