Coping strategies and their relationship with the quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease at the Tacna Hospital, Tacna 2023

It is academic research in the field of specialized care in the area of nephrology, it focuses on coping methods and the living conditions of those who are on hemodialysis as an alternative treatment, a procedure associated with severe physical exhaustion and mental that affects the condition of life with limitations and consequences. It is necessary to develop strategies to adopt new lifestyles and prevent stressful and/or depressive situations that worsen the condition. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the coping methods related to the living condition in participants who suffer from chronic kidney disease and are undergoing treatment at the Hipólito tacna, 2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: quantitative, nonexperimental design, applied level, descriptive-correlational, transversal. 100 participants will be selected who have chronic kidney conditions, who are being treated at the tacna Hospital. The technique was used as a method in the application of instruments to survey and the measurement of coping strategies through the adapted Brief COPE-28 questionnaire and a short questionnaire in its Whoqol-Bref version for quality of life. Statistical analysis: An inferential statistical analysis will be carried out, by applying the Spearman correlation coefficient (rho), giving us the level of significance expressed with the value p < 0.05 and 95% confidence, which will allow us to reject the null hypothesis.
