Publicación Acceso abierto El panel de discusión y la argumentación jurídica en estudiantes de derecho de una universidad privada de Arequipa 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-11-27) Condori Quilca, Edgar Luis; Yllescas Rodríguez, Patricia MaribelLegal argumentation is one of the preferred formulas for the application of law. Training effective legal speakers involves equipping them with expository techniques as a solid foundation of knowledge. The panel discussion is a teaching strategy that combines these two essential elements for argumentative development in the educational and legal fields. To validate this premise, a quantitative approach was used to analyze the argumentative performance of private university students preparing to practice law. The research was also supported by bibliographic records and the observation guide, revealing that the pedagogical strategy of the panel discussion significantly improves law students' legal argumentation, as their reasoning becomes more coherent and logical, thus facilitating the transition from theoretical knowledge to its practical application. Consequently, it is concluded that applying a clear methodology through the discussion panel allows students to develop more fluency in their interventions, which leads to better choice of topic, more organized speeches, and better management of expressive resources, expression of ideas, and preservation of the topic.
