    Work overload and stress in nurses of the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital de Barranca, 2022

    This research will focus on work overload and stress, an extremely acute problem for nursing professionals working in intensive care units due to the high demand for patient care, a situation that is exacerbated by the lack of staff and working conditions that increase the cognitive, physical, psychological and emotional effort that nurses make to assume their mission of humanized care. Objective: to determine how work overload is related to stress in nurses in the intensive care unit of Barranca Hospital, 2022. Materials and methods: it will be a quantitative, basic, descriptive-correlational, non-experimental - cross-sectional study. 15 nurses will participate. The survey will be applied using the questionnaire to measure work overload and stress.
