    Level of knowledge of safe surgery checklist by surgical center nurses in a public hospital, Villa El Salvador - 2020

    Faced with the increase in avoidable errors in surgical patients, the WHO created its patient safety area in 2004 and, after the problem situation that was present, launched in 2008 its campaign called “safe surgery saves lives” where safe surgery checklist is implemented; and due to its effectiveness, it has been implemented in Peru since 2010 in all its institutions; The objective of this research is to measure the level of knowledge of the safe surgery checklist by surgical center nurses. The research is a descriptive scope study, quantitative approach developed in a public hospital of category II – 2 of the second level of care in Villa El Salvador; Patients in various specialties are cared for 24 hours a day, including a surgical center, this area has 5 rooms with programming for various surgeries and specialties. The sample selection considers as inclusion criteria specialist nurses in a surgical center with more than 6 months of experience in the operating room; specialist nurses in a surgical center with less than 6 months of work experience will be excluded, and those who do not wish to voluntarily participate in the study. The sample is made up of 50 specialist nurses in a surgical center.
