    Determinación de los Indicadores del Sistema de Dispensación de Medicamentos de Dosis Unitaria (SDMDU) del Hospital de Huaycán 2017

    The Unit Dose Medication Dispensing System is a dispensing method that highlights the importance of the Pharmaceutical Chemist in the control of medication, through the intervention and pharmacotherapeutic monitoring of hospitalized patients, therefore the present research work had the following objective: To determine the indicators of the Unit Dose Medication Dispensing System of the Huaycán Hospital. Method: The observational, descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional research was carried out during the months of January to June 2017, time in which the information generated and stored by the service was analyzed through the database and the instruments used in unit doses, including the Technical Health Standard: Unit Dose Medication Dispensing System for Health Sector Establishments. Results: Coverage was 68.1%, the pharmacotherapeutic monitoring indicator was 4.04% of 742 patients attended by the Unit Dose Drug Dispensing System (SDMDU), 01 Drug-Related Problem detected each month, 01 Adverse Drug Reaction detected and reported per month, and dispensing errors 0.06% of 4897 prescriptions attended by Unit Dose. Conclusion: The indicators of care coverage, pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and reported Drug-Related Problems presented low percentages, which can be improved by incorporating personnel. On the other hand, the dispensing errors indicator obtained a low percentage, which demonstrates the importance of Dispensing through Unit Dose.
