It fosters emotional bonding, strengthens the immune system and contributes to the overall development of the baby. The objective of the study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice on breastfeeding in first-time mothers of a Hospital in Lima, 2024. The method will be hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied, correlational level, with design nonexperimental and cross-sectional. The population is made up of 90 first-time mothers. To collect the information for variable 1, the questionnaire was considered, with 3 dimensions: basic aspects, breastfeeding technique and milk extraction-storage, made up of 20 items, with a KR 20 reliability of 0.885 and for variable 2, the observation sheet with 3 dimensions: before, during and after breastfeeding with 12 items and a KR20 reliability of 0.742. The data processing and analysis will proceed to create a database with the Excel spreadsheet program, subsequently it will be examined in the statistical software SPSS version 26, obtaining descriptive statistics of dispersion and central tendency, as well as inferences. Spearman correlation type.
