Publicación Acceso abierto Factores relacionados a la falta de adherencia terapéutica en pacientes oncológicos del Hospital María Auxiliadora distrito San Juan de Miraflores – Lima Metropolitana, 2021–2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-05) Díaz Rimarachín, José de la Cruz; Fernández Vásquez, Nery Magaly; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoObjective: To determine the relationship between factors and therapeutic non-adherence in oncology patients. Method: This study used a quantitative approach, a basic type, a non-experimental design, and a correlational level. A sample of 80 patients was applied. For data collection and to measure adherence, the "adapted Morisky Green Levine Test" was applied, and a self-developed, expert-validated survey was used to measure related factors. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS Statistics version 26.0 program and the Pearson's Chi-squared test of independence. Results: 61.3% (49) of studied patients were adherent and 38.8% (31) were non-adherent. A significant statistical association was found between the socioeconomic factors dimension and therapeutic non-adherence (p value 0.018). No direct association was found between therapeutic non-adherence and the dimensions of factors related to the treatment, the patient, the disease, or the healthcare system/team. Conclusion: It was determined that no relationship exists between factors related to the treatment, the patient, the disease, and the healthcare system/team and therapeutic non-adherence in oncology patients at the María Auxiliadora Hospital, San Juan de Miraflores district, Metropolitan Lima, except for the socioeconomic factor.
