Hypercholesterolemia was found in 11.1%, and hypertriglyceridemia in 20% of prediabetic patients. A relationship was observed between prediabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and hypertriglyceridemia in male patients. The prevalence of prediabetes was compared according to the criteria established by the ADA (American Diabetes Association) and the WHO (World Health Organization), and there was a statistically significant difference between them (Fisher's exact test, p=0.0001), showing that there is a higher prevalence of prediabetes according to the ADA's criteria. Conclusion: Prediabetes has a higher prevalence according to the ADA's criteria, and there is a relationship between it and hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia in an occupational health clinic in Lima district, 2017.
