    Experiencia de las personas de la tercera edad en el uso del plantago major (llantén) en el poblado de Bayóvar San Juan de Lurigancho Lima Metropolitana – 2023

    The objective of this research work was to evaluate the experiences of elderly people in the use of Plantago major (llantén) in the town of Bayóvar San Juan de Lurigancho 2023. Method: a descriptive level study was carried out, quantitative approach, observational and cross-sectional design in a sample of 178 elderly people, to whom a questionnaire was administered through surveys. Result: 75% of the elderly people who used Plantago major (llantén) were female, the most common age being 60 to 65 years, 29% purchased the product on the market, the most recommended source mentioned was the friend 36%, in ailments and method of preparation most treated are joint pain and bumps or sprains, the plaster was used mostly (33.7 and 39.1% respectively) compared to other diseases; Likewise, for the symptom of pain, the plaster was used (45%) and for inflammation, inhalation was mostly used (47.4%). Conclusion: It was determined that, according to their experiences, 100% of the elderly people who used Plantago major (llantén) in the town of Bayóvar San Juan de Lurigancho would recommend its use because they all presented relief or improvement in their ailments and/or illnesses.
